In SCP-3008: Infinite Store, you find yourself as a random shopper who gets lost in an IKEA-like endless furniture store maze where procedurally generated aisles, hostile faceless staff, and survival horror mechanics are merged into a claustrophobic sandbox full of dread. The main activity is “day-night cycle exploitation”. After the store’s intercom announces closing time, the lights dim, and the usual passive “Staff” (tall, identical humanoids in yellow-blue uniforms) become super aggressive, running through the shelves at supernatural speed. During the day, you are safe to scavenge. You can visit snack bars to get food. You can also collect broken furniture to make barricades or weapons (table-leg clubs, shelf-shields, cash-register alarms), and prepare secret rooms inside stockrooms or on the top of shelving units. The store is generating infinite, non-Euclidean floor plans, so the navigation is simple based on landmarks. Players leave markers by stacking cans, tearing fabric, or painting arrows with spray paint, but the layout also changes each time you enter a new section. Multiplayer co-op can have up to eight survivors who would need to divide roles, lookouts, scavengers, crafters, and the “panic contagion” mechanic: one player’s scream would result in Staff nearby coming to investigate, thus communication has to be silent via emotes. Progression means finding “exit rumors”, new notes of previous victims that hint at exit door spawn logic, which then require sacrificing resources to be revealed. With permadeath being permanent and each death making your corpse part of the store’s clutter (potentially lootable by future runs), every closing announcement is a dilemma: whether to try to fortify yourself desperately or oppose the infinite hell of the geometry of the store.
