Another​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Try 2 moulds the roguelike shooter into a merciless, tactical power fantasy, where death is an essential part of the strategy rather than a failure in a time-loop war against an alien singularity. With each run, you start with a desperate drop on a biomechanical battlefield that keeps changing. You have to push your way through the waves of enemies, which continually adapt to you, to charge the “Chrono-Core” – a device that, after your inevitable death, rewinds time and turns your collected “Memetic Data” into permanent upgrades, new weapon blueprints, and pieces of lore about the origin of the loop. The main twist of the gameplay is the “Echo System”: your past selves that have died will continue living as AI-controlled “Echoes” in the timeline that you can find in the next runs; you can either fight them for the power boost which is a bit risky, work together with them to have combined firepower, or even “merge” with a high-level Echo to temporarily take over its enhanced loadout.
