Absolum is a puzzle-platformer whose core gameplay revolves around the innovative concept of changing the physical nature of an object by altering its “conceptual purity”. The single alchemist you guide through the decayed lands of a defunct civilization that apparently used this art in their daily life is faced with such environmental puzzles. By shifting an essence of an object to its absolute state, for example, “solid” to “liquid”, “transparent” or the like, you solve the puzzles – a platform is made perfectly “solid” to walk on, then it is changed to perfectly “liquid” to pour it through a grate into a new chamber below, or a barrier “transparent” is for passing through it.
