Rana Card is a strategy deck-building game that takes you to a lively, enchanted swamp where you are a biomancer trying to take over the ecosystem by leading a pack of anthropomorphic frogs, each having their own unique abilities and evolutionary paths. The main gameplay is centered on a “Tadpole-to-Titan” progression system that is very dynamic within your deck; in other words, common cards are weak Tadpoles at the start, but as a result of their being strategically placed on the lily pad battlefield and feeding them with resources such as Flies or Algae, they may be in the middle of the match transformed into such mighty forms as venomous Dart Frogs, sturdy Bullfrog warriors, or mystical Seers that can even control the opponent’s hand.

Every turn is resource management at its finest, coupled with the tactical positioning of your forces, where the “Water Level” that is always changing can either flood certain zones, thus empowering the aquatic frog types in those zones, and at the same time hindering the ones that are not suitable for the flooded area. The way to win the game is not just by lowering the opponent’s health but by completing a “Chorus” successfully which involves putting together a specific combination of frog types on the board to trigger a game-ending symphony that makes a player’s forces defeated by yours to be overwhelmed, in other words, the Rana Card becomes a game that is one of clever adaptation, long-term planning, and ribbiting reversals.
