Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion pushes the crazy mecha battles of the franchise to never-before-seen levels by bringing in huge, multi-stage on-the-fly monsters called “Titanic Scions”. When you are in your fully customizable Arsenal, the game turns into a frantic mixture of brutal aerial and ground combat that you have to tacticly tear down these mechanical monstrosities that are the size of cities—cutting off the arms that are full of weapons, breaking the heavily armored core reactors, helping each other with melee attacks, and at the same time fighting off the horde of AI drones that are attacking you, all this while you are managing your energy, heat levels, and reloading from the great amount of enemy tech that you have stolen.

There is also the introduction of a new, very complex synergy system, where you can temporarily link with other AIs of the same mercenary group and do a bunch of powerful combo attacks, which basically turns the messed-up battlefield into a more coordinated and harmonious destruction. Apart from the huge boss fights, the game is also spread out with derelict space stations that can be explored and underground ruins, giving pilots who are very thorough rare upgrade data and pieces of the mysterious Scions’ awakening, thus every sortie is a mix of methodical tactical execution and adaptable, white-knuckle survival.
