Hatch is a single-player horror game designed for solo play. Combat is not a part of it; survival only comes if you use stealth and evasion. The game immerses you in a frightening situation where any sound you make can make a constant whizzing sound to their radar; thus, you are left with no choice but to hide. The story occurs as you stumble upon a mysterious hatch in your room that you have never noticed before. This event begins your seclusion from the outside world as you encounter many bizarre and petrifying incidents. Suddenly, your home, which used to be a haven, is now a Hub for intruders out to get you.

As you find your way through this disturbing environment, you need to explore the connection of the hatch and the terrifying world that it has opened, all this while running away from the killers who are following and threatening your life at every step. The tension mounts as you make a life-or-death snap decision, causing you to lose your ties with the outside world. You have to secretly huddle behind the objects, moving only when you know you are not seen, and then secretly make a quick turn here and there.

You can also hide in lockers or barrels; however, you will be the next victim if they find you hiding. The location also contains necessary things such as keys and repair tools that will come in handy and help save you from there. To stand a chance of survival, you have to outsmart the odd strangers who have come into this place and find a way to abandon this wacky world.
