Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 is a relaunch of the series. It represents a major step backward towards the football pitch with a strong “back to basics” message and the introduction of the revolutionary FOX Engine. This change of platform has brought about a rethinking of all the elements of gameplay around the new benchmark of physical realism and contextual player intelligence. The main experience undergoes a radical change due to the “TrueBall Tech” system whereby the football is for the first time considered as a physical object with its own inertia and ability to bounce, thus allowing first-touch control, changes of direction, and passing to be affected in a way that the player’s balance, body shape, and foot-planting matters in a realistic manner. Along with that procedure goes the player animation “Motion Animation Stability System (MASS)”.
