Beholgar​‍​‌‍​‍‌ changes the whole idea of Norse mythology with a Dynamic World Shaping System where the players actively change the land by lifting huge rocks to make valleys. Redirecting rivers to create fjords, and growing giant seeds that develop into sentient Yggdrasil-like forests. The main game is based on Rune-Infused Combat Mechanics that give players the power to carve Elder Futhark characters into the surroundings—carving Ansuz (communication) on a rock could make it come alive as a helper. A complex Procedural Myth Generation Engine invents different sagas for every single playthrough by having completely random monster origins, Hero motivations, and divine help from a set of angry Aesir and Vanir gods who require offerings. Players perform Divine Favor Management by doing ritualistic offerings and god-specific quests that open the way to mythic powers like Odin’s raven sight or Freyja’s shape-shifting.
