Blade​‍​‌‍​‍‌ and Sorcery is the ultimate physics-based VR melee combat simulator that relies on a revolutionary Full-Body Inverse Kinematics System that converts the player’s real-life movements to the in-game ones, with millimeter-precise weapon tracking and collision detection. The central gameplay of Unscripted Physical Combat is provided where, as a result of the physics calculations performed, the confrontation is different every time—deflection of blades depends on the exact angle and force; arrows follow ballistics of the projectile that are authentic; and bodies are the same to receive the blow, with realistic bone fracture and muscle deformation, as they have been developed. This is enabled by the Procedural Animation Engine that, instead of using pre-recorded sequences, creates dynamically reactions to death and stagger animations that are context-aware. The game’s Modular Magic System allows for gesture-based spellcasting whereby elements can be combined by the players—for example, one could telekinetically impale an enemy with a piece of the environment and at the same time, use a gravity-manipulating shield to parry the attack.
