Stellar Blade puts you in the shoes of Eve, an elite paratrooper of the 7th Airborne Squad, who is airdropped in a post-apocalyptic Earth where the invasion by Naytiba, the hostile creatures with a mutation gene, is at its peak. With a careful hack-and-slash combat mixed with environmental puzzle-solving and a story narrative of human extinction, it suddenly turns out to be a long action odyssey. “Beta Energy” is the staple of the game loop, a resource obtained by scoring multiple hits and parries, which is then used to execute your special moves like “Blade Drive” (an extremely powerful AOE slash), “Shield Breaker” (to destroy the Naytiba’s shell armor), and “Repulse” (a parry-counter that stuns the enemies).
