WWE 2K Battlegrounds brings players into an arcade wrestling arena where, instead of realistic figures, you’ll find caricatured ones. Environmental destruction and a simple four-button combat system also help throw realism out of the window in favor of a chaotic, brawl-anytime fighting style. “Power-up management” is the key gameplay mechanic; each character can unlock three special moves slots (from running grapples, aerial dives, or weapon strikes) by performing moves, taunting, or even smashing the environment (e.g., exploding TVs, collapsible scaffolds).
