The​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Long Dark gameplay immerses you deeply in survival mode, and the experience is very realistic. The emphasis is on emotional tension and strategy rather than fast action, and the game is set in a vast frozen wilderness after some geomagnetic disaster. Basically, it is all about managing hunger, thirst, fatigue, body temperature, and even the body’s condition, all of which are influenced by harsh weather and scarce resources. Players should at least do some scavenging in the abandoned buildings and hunting of wild animals.
