Temporal Purge: Z is an action-packed, time-manipulating shooting game in which players are against a throng of the living dead in a cracked virtual world in which time meets past, present, and future. Your task is made a lot easier because you have a wide range of experimental weapons. You can use the chrono-gun to shoot the zombies and make their years ‘disappear’ or throw the paradox grenade that will swap them with oblivion no matter where they are on the timeline. You must be flexible enough to cope with the changing environment where time is the factor you can employ and where the enemy can still use it against you. At a particular time, you may find yourself feeling electric as you are in a shirt of neon colors in a city of the future. Still, in the next moment, you are caught by surprise as the medieval castle you are in is torn apart by knights who were dead long before the resurrection, zombies.

The “Temporal Shift” ability of the game is very powerful as it allows you to cancel the mistakes, slow down the foes by stopping them in time just in front of you, or even create a clone of yourself from your past to coordinate the attacks of increased destructive power. The overall scenario is very chaotic and full of destructive slaughter, and every level is a new story of the cause and result of the surroundings. Being clever with time control is the winner’s trick: lure zombies into a building about to collapse, then rewind time so you can keep them trapped inside forever, or run at them after you’ve made them follow your “past self” and ambush them respectively to the way you came.

The game features permadeath-like elements, procedural time glitches, and enemies that keep evolving. So in Temporal Purge: Z, the apocalypse becomes not only a time-warped playfield of paradoxes but also a mind-twisting challenge where a player has to react swiftly and yet plan out their moves carefully.
