Red Dust transports players to a scary and suspenseful survival horror game set on a lonely, rusty planet where the environment is hostile and evil. You are an engineer who is stranded on a deserted mining colony after a disastrous accident, and your survival is the only thing that matters since the planet is not only hostile but also inhabited by the corrupted remnants of the former people. The gameplay is carried out from a first-person perspective, and it is basically a combination of environmental puzzle-solving and resource management. Every gathered oxygen tank and every repaired generator are regarded as small victories against the overwhelming odds. The main excitement comes from the corrosive, sentient “Red Dust” that enters your habitat through cracks, and that is the namesake of the planet. The creatures native to the planet are not zombies or monsters, but even more frightening, metallic and twisted ones, which appear to be, in fact, parts of the environment; they grow from it, their movements are sudden and unpredictable.
