Recharge is a turbo-powered racing game from the future where speed is not everything if it is not combined with strategy—since your EV hypercar’s battery leaks faster than your competitors’ impatience. The game is set in neon-drenched cyberpunk cities and solar-powered desert highways, and each race turns into a mad juggling of full throttle and energy management. Follow optic trails of rivals to generate power, perform dangerous “Energy Drifts” at corners to snatch battery charge, and release temporary solar boosts by riding light beams on the course. But a shortcoming: if you run out of fuel before finishing the race, you will be on a disgraceful slow ride unless, of course, you choose the option of sacrificing speed to recharge at pit stations. Play against AI opponents who have the ability to learn your strategies and change tracks that change from day (suitable for solar regen) to night (necessitating aggressive energy theft), each lap becomes like a quick-thinking chess game.
