Out of Sight is a smashing new and orange stealth experience that takes the old hide-and-seek mechanics and spices them up with environmental interaction. The players take on the role of a fugitive trying to escape from relentless pursuers in a vast and ever-changing urban landscape, where they can utilize every shadow, alleyway, and crowd to their advantage. As compared to the typical stealth games, Out of Sight places more emphasis on improvisation—players can merge with a group of moving pedestrians, quickly change disguises, or even manipulate light sources to create new hiding places. The AI learns from the player’s behavior and the repetition of their tactics. Therefore, it becomes necessary to find creative new strategies.

A novel “panic system” is the influence of both the player and NPCs; thus, being hidden too long can create the feeling of tension, while, on the other hand, if there are sudden movements or noises, the environment may react hotly and wildly. The game also features a “memory” mechanic in real-time, where NPCs always forget the player’s last position, allowing the player to outwit them in this way. With a fusion of social stealth, environmental expertise, and psychological tension, Out of Sight is poised to unleash the art of evasion anew.
