Moondusk Masquerade is a gothic fantasy ball where beauty and deceit blend. As a guest with a secret mission, you will be introduced to the continually changing, social deduction-driven, and mysterious game. The gameplay is real-time through an expansive, decorated manor where you have to interact with AI nobles, share secrets orally, and carry out your innocuous deeds, such as changing the wine of a lord or putting forged letters. Still, at the same time, you have to keep your cover and figure out the members of the group before the clock strikes twelve.

The “Masquerade Meter” is the main source of suspense. It is a dynamic reputation system where every suspicious action, every unsuccessful attempt to persuade, or if you are found in a place that is off-limits, will increase the level of scrutiny. This will compel you to create clever alibis, divert the attention of others, or use magical disguises to escape the worst scenarios. Every character has a unique power that is related to their ancestry, e.g., vampiric charm to control discussions or fae illusion magic to attract the attention of others, thus allowing different playing styles such as quiet domination of others or chaotic destruction.

The story in the game is very interactive and responds to the choices you make. The characters change every night, the place is beautiful yet scary, and the ghostly tunes of a violin and the flickering candlelight make it so atmospheric; thus, every ball becomes a new show where trust can be used against you and a smile can hide a knife.
