Legendary Tales offers a revolutionary VR action-RPG through its Physics-Based Combat System, where each weapon swing, parry, and spell cast is determined by momentum and realistic force calculations. There are, therefore, opportunities such as using a halberd to hook an enemy’s leg or arrow deflection by a timely shield rotation to come naturally as a result of the physics-based fighting system. The gameplay includes a Classless Skill Progression Tree in which players acquire skills solely from performing the skills; for example, always blocking attacks will lead to naturally increased defensive stats as well as unlocking parry skills, whereas regular spellcasting will develop the player’s magical proficiency and, at the same time, unlock new spells.

An advanced Interactive Environment Puzzle System takes advantage of VR manipulation. This feature allows players to physically disassemble and reassemble ancient machines, line up magical lenses to open sealed doors, or manually mix different ingredients for alchemy by stirring in a crucible.

Legendary Tales’ Dynamic Loot and Crafting Mechanics enable weapon personalization to a great extent, whereby players can attach gems for elemental effects, strengthen blades with rare metals for durability, and enchant equipment using runes that they find in the world. In addition to Cooperative Dungeon Crawling for up to four players in persistent worlds and Emergent Story Generation based on player choices and discovered lore, the game allows players to engage in a fantasy adventure that is immersive and where physical ability and inventive problem-solving stand on the same level as the character’s stats.
