Kejora tells a story of becoming a small origami-like spirit who brings back the color and life to a kingdom that has lost its colors and is dying. It has a therapeutic, freeform gameplay where you gently and peacefully discover a world made up of dioramas, decaying temples, mysteriously enchanting forests, and floating islands, that are all portrayed in a breathtaking watercolor style, making the entire experience feel like you’ve just walked into a storybook coming to life. Your main feature is the ‘Luminae’ mechanism, through which you gather fragments of light that are scattered all over the place, and then use these to call upon the ancient, folded structures that bloom into bridges, windmills creating gusts, or paper flowers serving as platforms, and with each step, a soft, musical chime complements the interaction. Movement is like a rhythmic and fluid dance; Kejura can fold into a paper airplane to glide long distances, wrap up like a ball to roll downhill, or spread out like a lantern to see dark paths, and all three variations are done through simple, natural gestures. There are no wild or aggressive animals in the world, only gentle ones that communicate with you through their behavior, and whom you probably can make friends with by solving little puzzles from their surroundings. When you have a new friend each time, they bring a special power like a firefly that emits light in caves or a bird that takes you to higher places in the world.
