Hypogea​‍​‌‍​‍‌ is an underground survival-horror-exploration game that makes spelunking a fight against claustrophobia, terror, and primal creatures in a huge, non-linear cave system. At the heart of the game is a realistic multi-rope anchoring system where you have to secure your descent into extremely deep holes physically, and there is a consequence of incorrect placement that can cause a fall of a tragic nature. The main opponent is an all-consuming darkness, which you have to fight using a degrading equipment management mechanic. In other words, batteries for your headlamp, oxygen tanks, and climbing gear are the limited resources that run out in real-time.
