In Hive Blight, you play as a rogue bio-engineer who gets trapped inside a sentient, mutating megastructure, where real-time strategy elements are combined with body horror survival. This is the situation where you are controlling the swarms of highly customizable insectoid drones against the fungal intelligence that is constantly evolving and adapting. The main “genetic splicing” mechanic determines the gameplay loop.
