Goat Simulator is an open, free-for-all game with a mischievous goat as the main character, who players can move to create chaos within a small open world of people, which, by the way, is defenseless as there are no rules. The game takes a non-serious approach to everyday life—players can tumble in an unprepared world, hit common folk with their heads, stretch their tongues to catch hold of different objects, and even generate nonsensical, senseless effects, including explosions, ruins falling, and people, and things catching fire spontaneously. Fortunately, unlike traditional games, players’ actions have no concrete purpose; only the world’s destruction is possible where one’s creative (or incredibly absurd) actions are rewarded.

The hidden activities, such as a rocket-powered skateboard ride, the transformation into a fire-spitting demon goat, or picking up a homemade football game, and, further, using as a ball an explosive, will most certainly ensure not only chaos but also the fact that it comes in different shapes here. The deliberately problematic physics are great irony, and every crash, every outturn, or just an accidental fly so high that it seems we are heading to the sky is no doubt a hilarious joke! Hilarity never ceases, be it in the conduct of the players’ multiplayer, their slipping through walls, or simply their causing unrelated panic – Goat Simulator, in the final count, is a thrilling, spoofing, and celebrating a video game’s absurdity alone as it is the main content of the game.
