Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic brings a novel horrific theme to the series with its shape-shifting villain, The Mimic, a runaway animatronic who can change into any character in the game. The player’s task is to explore a large, confusing pizzeria full of hidden passages, broken security systems, and dark environmental storytelling that points to the crime of the dark corporate conspiracy. In contrast to the earlier parts, the game focuses on the mobile stealth elements – switching off the lights, holding your breath to avoid being detected, and using small sounds to trick the enemies.

The Mimic’s erratic nature makes it so that no two playthroughs are similar. It absorbs player patterns and impersonates your tactics to operate deadly traps.
