DRIVE​‍​‌‍​‍‌ DRIFT X is an arcade racing game of the highest order, which in essence changed to drift from a tactic used to the main mechanic of scoring and propulsion. The gameplay revolves around the “Momentum Chain” concept, whereby a successful drift not only fills the score multiplier but also the “Boost” meter that enables it to be used for a brilliant burst of speed, which can be utilized straight from the slide. Thereby, a risk/reward cycle arises: a long, beautiful drift through a series of curves earns you a huge score, but it takes perfect control not to lose the crash, which leads to both the multiplier and the precious boost reserve being reset.

The game offers a wide range of drift machine tunings with the different handling models of the machines, which vary from the twitchy, lightweight Japanese imports to the heavy ones, pendulum-like American muscle cars, all set against the world-touring mountain passes.
