Decollate Decoration turns a home renovation simulator on its head by transforming it into a dark, physics-based puzzle game of destruction and morbid creativity, whereby you are given possession of an old Victorian haunted mansion and obliged to completely take apart its cursed furnishings so as to supply your gothic decor business. Playing is a therapeutic, cathartic cycle of violently salvaging and artistically reconstructing by hand: you get into procedurally generated haunted rooms carrying crowbars, sledgehammers and ghostly bolt cutters, and physically dismantle, piece-by-piece, possessed armoires, chandeliers and grandpa clocks, etc., with each object’s “Corruption Level” indicating to what extent it becomes aggressive against you, throwing drawers at you, snapping its jaws or bleeding ectoplasm that stains your materials.
