Amanda the Adventurer 2 is the second installment of the franchise, and just like its predecessor, it offers better and heavier psychological horror with enhanced gameplay involving problem-solving and plot progression. Players are trapped in an incredibly creepy children’s television program again and have to move Amanda through different stages using the next scenarios that have some sinister twists. The game features the mechanics of an escape room with both escape room style gameplay and traditional point-and-click gameplay, and completing the game calls for solving riddles, searching for items, and piecing together cryptic messages. Fragments of the storyline are scattered across the game, and as the players progress, they come across clues about Amanda’s past and spirits in the show.

Values chosen during the interaction with the female personality, Amanda, and her companion, Wooly, influence their actions, making the game more complex and becoming multiepisode. Because of her amicableness to hostility transformation, tension is slowly learned, and a crucial contingency: how much should the protagonist trust or distrust Amanda is devised by the author. There are actually other levels of storytelling here; improved graphics and gradually tightening the overall tone of the game put players into realms of nostalgia and horror where every move can become either a revelation or an enigma of the true story behind the show.
