Nasty Zombies throws a fresh challenge to the top-down shooter category by introducing a hardcore, physics-based horde mode feature where every bullet casing, destroyed window, and zombie gib computation is essential in the last fight. Player action is a hectic, twin-stick dance of destruction: you wander through procedurally generated cityscapes, from tightly secured convenience stores to vast hospital buildings, killing one after the other waves of slowly moving of- the- dead with new/ fresh weaponries such as shotguns that deliver huge impacts on zombie bodies to flamethrowers that cause an inferno explosion among zombies gathered together. The main gameplay is centered on the “Gore Physics” engine; zombies don’t merely fall to your weapons, they are turned into a stunning mess, with various body parts coming off, heads slicing into a million pieces, and pools of blood making it slippery, thus creating a battlefield that is not only visually interesting but also challenging in terms of movement and strategies, where the dead literally pile up and influence movement and line of sight.
