REANIMAL revolutionizes cooperative horror gameplay by throwing players, as four cult-created creatures, into a procedurally generated nightmare where your only fight for survival is against the abyss that created you. The gameplay is a raw, physics-driven mix of survival horror and squad-based action, where you and your three friends, as a pack, play the life of deformed creatures each possessing a set of distinct, upgradable mutations such as a barbed tail for impaling, chameleon camouflage for stealth, or sonic screech for staggering swarms through the cramped, mind-boggling and ever-changing tunnels of a Lovecraftian underworld. The main gameplay revolves around making a frantic scavenger hunt for the necessary supplies and narrative fragments; you have to brighten the surroundings with scarce light sources, find flesh to replenish your body, and, with the help of your diverse creatures’ abilities, solve the puzzles in nature.
