Pyromaniac​‍​‌‍​‍‌ changes the puzzle game genre into a fun, physics-driven destruction symphony where gamers are turned into masters of controlled chaos, who should come up with the perfect chain reaction that will turn complicated, Rube Goldberg-style constructions completely to ashes. The gameplay is a mental work-out on the relationship of cause and effect: you get at disposal a handful of instruments to light the fire (for example, a single match, a laser pointer, or a dripping cord of a highly flammable liquid) and you have to figure out the managing of the scene to see the pressure point that will cause a domino fire effect. Moreover, you work with a highly realistic fire simulation where flames spread according to the material, the direction of the wind, and the presence of oxygen, making you take into account the natural properties of the environment first -from lighting a gas leak to heat a beam of a building that will then fall on a tank full of propane ready for an explosion. The difficulty of the puzzles is raised as the new pyro-devices become available to you, like a remote detonator or a time bomb. You are facing situations that call for perfect timing, for example, making sure that the fireball reaches the wooden wall before the water sprinklers start dousing it.
