Escape From Duckov is a charming top-down stealth adventure game that features Paddle, a clever duck, as the main character. The storyline is about Duck Paddle making a grand escape from a heavily guarded farm for the feathered friends and himself. The central play is minimal, a puzzle-based stealth work where you are not allowed to confront the enemy directly; instead, you have to outsmart the enemies and use the surroundings to create distractions and thus manipulate the farm’s guards, who are foolish but lethal.
It is possible to quack so that a guard follows you where you want, walk through mud puddles to make false trails, knock over buckets to make noise and thus cause diversions, and even take one step further and recruit other farm animals, such as by persuading a sheep to block a way or a rooster to make a timely noise. Each level is a layered puzzle game box having different paths and answers, thus you have to watch the patrol patterns, “quack” which is your limited resource that you can use only for a short period of time, and also link together the chaotic events to be able to rescue the ducks and lead them to the exit safely and, at the same time, evade the farmer’s spotlight and his dog that is determined and wielding a duck-net.
