Horace For PC – Full Version – Compressed – Direct Link – Torrent – Offline Games
Game Info:
Game Overview:
Horace is advertised as a pixel-art platform game, but its smartness is in how it combines its hardcore mechanics with a deeply human storyline without any hitch. In a small and sincere manner, the player gets to be a robot in a trash collection mission for the amount of one million pieces that, through the development of the plot, becomes a huge, bleak, yet wonderfully absurd epic. The basis of the game is a great example of how to master increasing complication, where one is initially allowed to do simple jumps that later get evolved into very difficult and brutally precise challenges that are to be overcome by using absolute perfect timing and some part of the player’s growing set of powers, from double-jumps to gravity flips.
Despite all this, the game keeps playing against the players’ assumptions by incessantly breaking the fourth wall and bringing in new, genre-bending segments; at any time you could be in a cramped, punishing platforming ordeal, and the next you could be a text-based adventurer, a shooting game pilot, a puzzle-solver, or even playing a complete bootgame-like imitation of one of the good old days, and at the same time, Horace’s story of wandering and longing is being told through very touching, and beautifully crafted conversations.
The degree of mechanical control is what the game asks for, but the player is given an emotional experience as a reward, thus the hard section passage not only becomes a skill testing but also an indispensable part of a laudable journey.
