Exploding Kittens 2 takes the insane fun of the first game and turns it up a notch with explosive new mechanics, twisted card interactions, and even more ways to betray your friends. Players need to plan carefully when they use Defuse Cards because that is the only way to stop them from drawing the dreaded Exploding Kitten. Still, this time, game-changing Mutation Cards can change rules at random times during the game—like making everyone talk only in meows or exchanging your hand with the player to your left. The addition of Quantum Kittens provides the players with so much uncertainty since these unstable cards can be in two conditions simultaneously (face-up and face-down) until they are played.

Thus, it becomes a game of who is tricking whom, and there may be last-minute reversals. New Trap Cards allow you to turn your opponent’s turns into a minefield, whereas Team Mode lets you form temporary alliances before the inevitable betrayal. On top of that, the card art is now more eye-catching than ever, funny new card effects (such as the Black Hole Kitten that gets rid of the entire draw pile), and a “Kittenpocalypse” event that causes sudden mayhem in the game, Exploding Kittens 2 is a new, crazy and laughably devious game for experienced players and beginners.
