Finding Frankie provides gamers with an emotional, fully-featured journey set for the open world filled with mystery, activities, and puzzles. Game overview: In this game, players are presented with an independent young character whose dog, Frankie, has gone missing, and the player’s task is to find him navigating through a bustling town and its forest outskirts. Unlike other horror titles, the gameplay is built around the exploration and discovery of Frankie’s fate while the player communicates with townspeople – the various characters, some of which may offer hints or side tasks that lead the protagonist to something connected to the plot. Every corner of the environment contains either interactive objects or hidden paths, which forces the players to explore every corner.

Based on the real world, even objects are very puzzle-oriented – puzzles are everywhere, and one has to solve riddles, search for an object and even solve patterns to pass to another level. In addition, during the gameplay, players keep a journal that contains important pieces of information, funnelling progress similar to traditional detective work. It also has a day-night cycle where the NPC has their particular schedules, limiting the interactions at certain periods and up for other new interactions at other times, making the search deeper. Finding Frankie smoothly intertwines a beautiful story with gameplay, as every collectable found on the way to reunite with a lost friend is important.
