Scribble Bots turns the puzzle-platformer into a fun, physics-based sandbox game where the limit of your creativity is your ultimate weapon. The idea is to draw simple robots from scratch to help you think of solutions for the challenges that are thrown at you. Mixing drawing mechanics and physics simulation is a very good formula for an interesting and fun game; in each level, you’re given a beautifully detailed diorama with abundant elements like traps, switches, and collectables. But instead of the usual ways of interaction, you’re only allowed to draw simple bots on the screen. The main gameplay consists of an original rhythm of drawing your creation, putting it to test, and making necessary modifications; a stick figure bot with a heavy bottom might do a smashing job through a weak floor, a long-necked bot with a grabbing head will be able to reach a far away switch, or a spring-legged bot could help you jump over spikes and the interesting part is that each one’s physics properties weight, balance, joint flexibility are completely decided by your scribbled design.
